> This course will teach intermediate to advanced oil painters how to paint portraits from photographs. In addition to drawing, color mixing, value relationships, and paint application, learn what photos make the best portraits and how to translate them into a painting. The objective of the course is to learn techniques in class that will enable you to paint successful portraits at home. Please read the supply list (received upon registration) to learn what type of photos to bring to class, etc.

> Sue is an award-winning artist whose work hangs in many private collections around the country. She is represented by Galerie Mado Chalvet in Houston, TX and Portland Classic Gallery in Tigard, OR, and has studied under prominent portrait artist, William J. Kalwick, Jr. Recent accomplishments include entry into the Oil Painters of America's 16th National Juried Exhibition for Traditional Oils, 2007 and 2008 Eastern Regional Oil Painters of America Exhibitions, and the Salon International 2009, 2008, and 2007 Exhibition where she won the "Jury's Top 50" award.
