Annabelle Meacham
ANNABELLE MEACHAM lives and paints in northwest Mississippi, 40 miles from Memphis, Tennessee. While her work concentrates on surrealistic images, she also produces abstract works which often include her fused glass and tooled metals.
Meacham has had one-artist exhibitions at Duke University, The Arts Center of the Ozarks, and the Savannah (GA) College of Art and Design, among others. She has had work selected for juried commercial gallery exhibitions by the Senior Curator of Contemporary Art at The Whitney Museum (NYC), and by the Curator of The Phillips Collection (Wash., D. C.). The artist is represented by Jay Etkin Gallery in Memphis, TN and Brick Gallery in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Her work is in the collections of Federal Express, Promus Hotel Corp., and Holiday Inns, and many others. In 2003, the annual reader's poll of Memphis Woman Magazine named Annabelle Meacham as their favorite artist.
