Consuelo Chavez
I born in a little town in Mexico, state of Michoacan, "lonbardia" when I was five years old I star my elementary school, because I was very smart and I did not make the kidergarten, also I skip the second grad to third grade.
In the school, I stared to draw and coloring my works, we have a weekly wall mural in the school and I always show my drawing in the mural.
I went to the Instituto Nacional De Bellas Artes to learn how to draw adn make human figures with live models, also to make the colors and lines.
It was very fascinated to be, because I always wanted to go.
When was the end of course, we have a show of our art work and I won the second place in one of my works. I also have a class of engrave over wood.
The time pass and some day when I get divorced, I come to USA, 1987, it was another word for me, another culture, another food, another language, but in California I can take a little paint class with a private teacher, the ture is that I can have any time for that I have to work and work.
In 1988, I move to Memphis.
Since that date I am showing my art work in several places in TN< MS and GA. In the Collierville Library, I have my solo show from one month in 2006, at this time I exposed 21 of my art works
